Understanding Tribal Histories, Cultures, Sovereignty, and Current Day Issues

This website explores two of Wisconsin's federally recognized tribal nations: The Menominee Indian Tribe and the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. As required by Wisconsin Act 31, students learn about the histories, traditions, sovereignty, and modern lives of Native Nations in Wisconsin to build understanding, accuracy, and respect.
